Disk Package Option:

  • We now offer you the choice of purchasing a quantity of 1 disk or 2 disks per size. We always recommend purchasing 2 disks per size to get the most level edges; one disk will go on top of your tier and the other will go underneath it. However some bakers make the choice to only use 1 disk.
  • Instructions for using 2 disks will be included in your package. If you choose to purchase 1 disk, a modification to the directions will be included.

*NO size substitutions are accepted, NO exceptions*

Center Hole:

***All of our disks will now come with center holes*** The 3/8" center hole helps bakers to center their cake tiers on the disks by using a temporary dowel as they ice. If you do not chill your cakes before icing with the disks, you will need to put a temporary dowel through the disks and cake to make sure your layers do not shift. The center holes do not affect the performance of the disks, should you choose not to use them.


What is the best size for me and my cakes?

We want to make sure that you are ordering the correct size disk for your specific cakes. Before you order, please make sure you measure your finished cakes and the bottom of your cake pans to prevent having to exchange your disks for a new size. Feel free to call or email us with any questions.

Our general rule of thumb is:

  • .5" sizing
    • For cakes that shrink LESS than 1/8" (or not at all,) AND you are NOT planning to cover with fondant
  • .25" sizing
    • For cakes that shrink MORE than 1/8"
    • OR your cakes do not shrink, but you are planning to cover with fondant
  • .00" sizing
    • For cakes that shrink MORE than 1/4"
